Hailing from strong farming background in the Wimmera, Rhonda worked at both regional and city practices for many years before founding the Yarraville Village Animal Hospital in 1987. A Yarraville resident for over twenty years she has a strong affinity with her local area and its residents.
Conscious of the need to utilise the proven benefits of complementary healing in treating animals Rhonda is also a graduate of the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society.
Rhonda regularly attends conferences both here and overseas to keep abreast of the latest developments in surgery and all aspects of veterinary practice.
At home as well as her family she has two cats: Dexter and Snoop and often a dog or two that requires minding.

Steph Penfold
Veterinary Nurse
Steph has been working as a vet nurse since 2013 and at Yarraville Village animal hospital since 2014. She has her certificate 4 in veterinary nursing and a bachelor in psychology and a keen interest in therapy animals and the bonds we form with them. Steph has two dogs, Henry and Pattie, a cat Boris and a number of chickens.

Boris is a brown Burmese who has been working at the clinic since 2016. His hobbies include sunbaking, eating and exploring all kinds of boxes and bags. You will often find him lounging on his hammock in the window, drop in and say hello!

Hayley
Groomer
Hayley is one of our dog groomers and sylists, she started grooming at the clinic in 2022 however has been grooming for 10years. Hayley has her certificate 3 in animal study's and her certificate in advance styling. Hayley loves creative grooming, breed clips and working with educating clients. At home Hayley two great dane crosses Ollie and Harry, and a 2 year old daughter to keep her on her toes.

Ami is one of our groomers and vet nurses. She has been working at the clinic since 2018 and has been grooming and nursing for over 15years. She has a passion for grooming and does a number of beautiful breed clips, however also specialises in welfare clips and working within what the animal is comfortable with. Ami has a beautiful staffy called Piper and two young children to keep her busy at home.

Trainee Veterinary Nurse
Maddy is one of our lovely receptionists and trainee nurses. She has a certificate 3 in animal studies and is currently completing her bachelor of environmental science (wildlife and conservation) at Deakin university. She has grown up with all sorts of animals and travelled overseas for volunteer work with elephants, cheetahs, lions, monkeys and meerkats. When not working Maddy is either looking after her herd of Guinea pigs or pet sitting peoples pets.
